Cabernet Sauvignon:
Bordeaux surpasses all other wines, the elegant aromas of blackcurrant, plums, black cherries, cedar wood, and cigar box.

Pinot Noir:
At its best is sublime, silky and sensual but it can be the most frustrating of grape varieties. Notoriously difficult to grow and ripen, quality can vary greatly with vintage where the grapes are grown. So it pays to check out the region, the producer and vintage before handing over your credit card.

Merlot:
Merlot makes a marriage made in heaven with Cabernet Sauvignon in Bordeaux, where it is most widely planted grape. It softens the toughness of a young Cabernet Sauvignon and its ripe tannins add to the wines smoothness.

Syrah:

Mouth filling, opulent, spicy, raspberry, black fruit and black pepper. Another grape whose home is in France, this time in the northern Rhone valley.

A grape is a fruit, botanically a berry, of the deciduous woody vines of the flowering plant genus Vitis. Grapes can be eaten fresh as table grapes, used for making wine, jam, grape juice, jelly, grape seed extract, vinegar, and grape seed oil, or dried as raisins, currants and sultanas.

grapes should be firm, plump and tightly attached to the stems. Grapes that are wet, mouldy or shrivelled at the stem attachment should be avoided, as they indicate decay. If grapes are at their freshest, the stems will be green and flexible versus being dry and brittle when they’re not so fresh.
